The most liberal loan we offer is an FHA loan and the borrower must have at least one account that reports to the credit bureau and it must have at least a 12 month history. If you do not have that, open a credit card even if it must be a secured card, those count! Good luck,

This is a great question that many first time home buyers want answered. My experience is that many people "without credit" are able to buy homes. These people are happy to learn they are qualified to buy.

Please talk to an expert loan consultant who can help you with first time homebuyers loans, down payment assistance, and credit score improvement steps, if necessary.

After you do your loan investigation, please come back to this post and tell us what happened.

Having no credit established is a far cry from having confirmed bad credit. Speak to a lender and let them ask the questions to determine if you can get a loan and for how much.
