Why, are you planning on doing an Appraisal to your own house?
If you had studied or gone to school to learn how to do an Appriasal, you would know the answer to this question.
I'm sure that the qualifications to become an Appraiser vary from state to state, but it usually a lot of study and some apprenticeship and then a State given test.

We have seen a lot of disgruntled people complain about the appraisals they were given; but none of the knew how to do an Appraisal.

Perhaps if we had Appraisers who were nearsighted and generous in their evaluation of homes, we could get a lot more bad loans for people.
That would solve the problem!

Check out the county auditor site, they should list comparables around your home. If not, then contact a local realtor, they may be willing to help you with a CMA for your home without charge.
