Why is it near impossible for a buyer to qualify for a home! The focus is on forecloseures not home buyer's !

It's not impossible, its just the fact that not EVERYONE can buy a home now. With all of the 100% financing debauchery out of the way, people cant afford the downpayments needed. Everyone got used to being able to buy a house with no money down, no income verification, no assets and thats not the case anymore. Trust me, people ARE getting financed, you just need employment and a downpayment!

We are extremely busy with home buyers who are qualified (note: I am a realtor and loan officer) are sales have not dipped. Many families you have great credit, downpayment, not living over their means. Sorry you are having problems have you considered searching for another mortgage broker or taking their suggestions improve your credit scores where you can purchase a home. If your debt ratio is high reduce debt never close account within 90 days you might be able buy a house.
