I highly recommend Matt Brown of Petaluma Home Loans. He owns the company, so he has a long term veiw of all of his customer relationships. He will not be moving on to another company anytime soon. He is also patient and skilled in helping with credit issues and finding the right lender for the right borrower. He has walked through three of our recent buyers, sometimes taking as long as a year or more with them to get their loan and their purchase. Amazing! He is creative, personable, patient, and caring. He and his partner Ken can be relied upon to find a way.

I would only ever go with Megan Sovel at Stearns Lending in Petaluma. She is the smartest, well-connected, client advocate I've ever met. She was endlessly patient and truly educated us during a challenging real estate transaction. The fact that she is the daughter of one of Petaluma's best educator sealed the deal! Good luck!

If you are getting a mortgage for country property in Sonoma County, something with some acreage, definitely call Tom Davis, owner of Western Pacific Mortgage! VERY few lenders can loan on country properties and Tom is one of the very best!

I'd recommend Blue Oak Mortgage.

Megan Sovel if you want someone to really go to bat for you.

Once the decision has been reached to purchase a new home, you should be looking for an agent to represent you. This agent should be able to provide several names to you for all your mortgage needs.
