My sis lives in Aurora was robbed during the home crises. She is a nurse and became unemployed, and fell behind just a few payments. Threatened foreclosure, so she let some other finance company take over her contract. A nightmare ever since. They are bleeding her money. Home is assess @ $129,000, but now owes $200,000 @ 8% interest w/payments of $2000./mo! And they keep coming up short every year on Escrow and demand $200-400 more. PLEASE HELP me help her. Her lack of understanding of how things work got her into this whole mess. WHAT can she do?

Most real estate professionals have 'Foreclosure Prevention' attorneys with whom they consistantly work. The attorney, working collaboratively with a real estate professional, can prove beneficial for your sister.
However, here is what I know with great certainty. You can not help folks who do not want help. Your sister, not you, needs to raise her hand. THIS IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT.
Have your sister call an AURORA REALTOR and assess the situation and referral to the attorney most appropriate for her situation.

Consult with an attorney who specializes in real estate, most professionals offer a free consultation, or contact the local Legal Aid Society for a pro bono attorney, free.
