My daughter apply for the $7500 tax credit her home closed in January and this loan has to be paid back. Now

they have the $8000 first time home buyer that does not have to be paid back. Does she have to amend her taxes & go for the $8000.

Joyce, you have probably read, as I have, details of the new stimulus
plan that state, every first time home buyer , who meets the income
limits and buys a single family home between January 1, 2009 and
December 1, 2009 is eligible for the tax credit refund. That sounds
like your daughter. I am suggesting my clients, who have closed
since Jan 1, let their tax preparer know. Another good source of information on how to file is
the irs website. Congratulations to your daughter on her new home and for the refund blessing
