Mortgage for non-resident US citizen in Truckee, CA.

Asked by Noam Ben Zvi, Outside U.S. Wed Jul 25, 2012

I am a non-resident US citizen looking to buy a property in Truckee, CA. I have a 75% down payment and am looking to take a mortgage on the remainder (~100k).
Does anyone if this is possible and can help me out?

If you are a US Citizen, I don't see why that would be a problem. One of my clients who is a resident alien was able to get a mortgage.
Send me an email and I will put you in touch with some local mortgage brokers that have dealt with this before, also let me know what you are looking for and I can email you everything that is currently on the market.

You can consider an investment mortgage if you file your US taxes.
