No, not deductible on your state return. Federal return yes, state return no.

Marc is correct Roger, but tax questions should be directed to the tax professionals, CPA's as Kimberly suggested. Just as Real Estate questions should be directed to professionals in that field, Realtors. And mortgage financing questions directed to professional to loanofficers or Bankers.

It is always best to speak with your or a Certified Public Accountant regarding your taxes. That is thier specialty and they should be up to date on the latest tax laws for both State or Federal.

incorrect. it is deductible for federal filing, but not for state of NJ. Please read the QUESTION!
