Is it possible to buy a manufactured home while we are going through a short sale on our current home? If so, how much would the down payment be?

It may be possible but it will likely be difficult to get traditional financing. You could consider a home that the seller do a seller carryback loan. You you started looking for a new home yet?

It is often very difficult to get traditional financing from a lender when you have an active short sale. You could consider purchasing a home that offers seller carry terms

Dear Chris:

No, not with a mortgage loan for 2-3 years. Yes, if you are paying cash or have a down payment for a Seller May Carry interim financing home for sale or have a family member that can co-sign for you.
