Is it legal in California for a broker to receive a commission as a buyer's agent and as the buyer's mortgage broker in the same?

I assume you saw the answers on your other question. But in short, the answer is yes, it's legal. It's not like dual agency where an agent has an obvious conflict of interest, it could actually be a benefit if you have an experienced LO/Agent who will be your sole point of contact. Note that this cannot be done on an FHA insured mortgage.
