How long do you have to wait after a chapter 7 bk before you can get another home loan?

It depends on a few things.
If you did not include a mortgage in your bk, the minimum wait is 2 years from discharge for an FHA mortgage.

If you did include a mortgage, the wait is at least 3 years from the day the bank takes back title on the home. If your mortgage was an FHA loan and FHA paid a claim, the wait is 3 years from when FHA paid the claim.

house was included and its only been 2 years as of this november. We have about 50,000 to put down would that be of any help to get financed earlier if house we are looking at are around 125,000? thanks for you help

4 years from from the date the bankruptsy was completed or 2 years after bankruptcy was completed under extenuating circumstances..
