In the recent past, rent - to - owns were difficult to find. However, in today's market, you may be able to find a seller who, even though they are not advertising that they would consider rent-to-own, who may consider such an arrangement.
A good buyer's agent should be able to consult with you to explain the rent-to-own process and how to find rent-to-own homes. In addition, they may be able to provide you with some other financing options that may make rent-to-own less attractive to you.
In my 19 years of real estate experience, I have represented 3 buyers who have purchased homes through rent-to-own. Two of them actually purchased the homes, one did not.
