Any lenders doing FHA loans on existing mobile home/land packages in Florida?

Asked by David N Beth Smith, Altamonte Springs, FL Tue Nov 27, 2012

We have no problem getting a $180k mortgage for a traditional home (FHA or conventional), or a loan on a new mobile home/land package, but I can't find any banks that will do an FHA loan on an existing mobile home. For example, a mobile home on 5 acres in Geneva, asking price $70k, tax collector appraisal $125k, with us putting $20k down. Any suggestions are appreciated!

We are able to offer FHA financing on existing mobile homes affixed to real property. There are some specifics that I will need to ask you about first, but this is a niche that we serve. Please contact me to discuss your specific situation.

My son has just had a great experience with 5th 3rd Bank.
I would gladly recommend Carrie McCoy, the loan originator that made his experience a great one.

This was a "second attempt" on the same property. Because of the first failed attempt and the professionalism that was not diplayed... I personally will never set foot in a Wells Fargo bank again.

more than likely no. You would either need cash or possibly the owner may help you with financing.

Thank you Nikki. We did find one lender, 21st Mortgage Corporation, that will do it, but their best rate is 6.24% with is not very good compared to FHA rates or rates we can get on a traditional home.
