It just expired a few days ago. It appears to be overlisted at 1.1 million. It sold at the height of the market for 1.27 million, but today it's probably worth much less. Maybe 900 or so. Which could also bring up the issue of it possibly being a short sale depending on the amount of the mortgage. In any case it is expired for now, but i would not be surprised if it returned to the market in the near future. ... more

I don't want you to get the wrong impression regarding the comment about credit from one of my peers. Not as easy as having good credit.
If you are going for a mortgage, you must have a work visa, student visa or green card PLUS the good credit to get an advance approval for the loan (checked assets and debt. ratios, application processed and approved.

Since 9/11, scutiny of international purchases have heightened. Be prepared with all documentation of what the purchase will be used for, ie. vacation/business...How often you travel to US.
More prepared the better.

Hi there Buylow, agree wholeheartedly with my peers - no advantage to flying solo on your home search and purchase. A good agent will add a tremendous amount of value to your search and negotiations by putting her knowledge of market conditions and inventory to work for you. Cost is covered through commission paid by Seller. I see no reason not to work with an agent. There is much that you can accomplish online but nothing replaces the value of "feet on the ground" working on your behalf. Particularly if you are looking from a distance, a great local agent will be invaluable to you.

The house is located in Peapack-Gladstone Borough. It is serviced by the Peapack post office. And it is in the Somerset Hills school district (Bedwell ES, Bernardsville MS, and Bernards HS).

If you need any other information let me know!
