Hi Chris, are you still looking for a home? When you say near EFC, how close would you like to be? Walking distance? A short bus ride? FSBO is not necessarily the best deal as sellers may not know the true value of their home and typically list higher than the market value. There are many ways to save on costs though. Please let me know if you are still searching and if I may be of assistance.

Your best bet is to contact NACA and see if they have an approved RE agent list. Best wishes, Jim

Hi Dixie, I believe you can go to the page for that home and click "Edit Details." Once you confirm that you are associated with the property, you can correct the information. You can also flag the incorrect information and Trulia "should" correct it for you. Good luck! ... more

Interview several local Realtors and see which one has the most knowledge of your home and neighborhood. Ask how much they can sell the home for, how much are their commissions and fees, how long it will take to sell, ask about the market trends, ask how many listings they have currently and how many they have sold.

You should be able to get a good feel for who will be the best match for you. Best of luck!

Listing information and photos have to be entered manually. Trulia and Zillow no longer get the information from the Multiple Listing Service.

Going to open houses is a great way to explore neighborhoods. Be mindful of being 'sold' by the agent holding the open house - definitely ask any questions about the property that you need to, but be sure to obtain your own representation when you're ready to buy. Check the web reference link for more information about avoiding 'dual agency'. ... more

Each buyer is unique and you would fit that category for sure. Have you spoken to a lender? That is the first step since you are looking to get a loan and not pay cash for the home so, it would appear. The larger the down payment, 25-50% of the offer price the less worried a bank will be with how you earn your living. Call my favorite lender and he can walk you through the process and he will answer questions over the phone. Mike Gleeson 703-850-3323. Good luck and if you need a buyers agent let me know. ... more
