What does your REALTOR say?? What does HIS Realtor say? If neither of you are being represented, then you can contact your attorney and find out what you should do. But frankly...it's you're only looking at $2500, why not cut your losses and just move on? ... more

Fairport/Perinton is the best area with a lot to offer for social life and above average schools. Very beautiful area with the lowest cost of gas and electric ( Fairport has it's own low cost electric grid source) in all of NY. Quaint old school feel, but with a lot of current or brand new up to date areas very close. The best shopping mall in all of New York (Eastview Mall) is a few miles away in Victor. (edge of Perinton) It's by far the best area around Rochester for many reasons! I'm a 55 year old male that grew up in a town south of Rochester called Henrietta. Loved it growing up, but would not recommend that area now days. Fairport/Perinton is the spot for the best cost of living, great schools and just plain beauty! ... more

If you are purchasing with a mortgage ask your loan officer for a good faith estimate, he/she can better answer the question.

Your link above shows that.... 98 for 93 K and in 2012 for 119 K
It does not look like it is currently for sale... If you are interested in buying property you really should work with a local Buyers Agent, representing you and your interests as the buyer, and they are
paid usually by the Seller's side at the closing table. All that is required from you the buyer is your
complete loyalty and commitment to that one Realtor, your personal Buyers Agent, if you need a recommendation for one in your areas of interest, let me know.....
Good Luck to you

We have lived in Fairport NY over 20 years. My 2 children Graduated from Fairport High School. Mr. Paddock was and still is the Best principal you could ever want to have. Although he has moved on to other things, I know he still keeps involved with Fairport School District. The only issue you might want to address is having your kids not go to McinervaDeland School the Principal at that school was terrible when both my children attended there. But again that was years ago and they may replaced that Principal by now. Both my kids are in college so I am not in the loop any longer on what goes on in the school district. But you can find all kinds of info about the schools and district on line. Fairport.com I think it is. or go directly to the schools web page for info. We only had one big issue with one teacher at Brookshill school years ago. The teacher was a 3 or 4th grade teacher at the time and told me that my son would not amount to anything and we had a meeting with the Principal about this issue and that teacher got a good talking to by the Principal. My son has now Graduated from Buffalo State University and is now taking Grad classes and is in the Honor Socity at his present college. So it goes to show you that if you that teacher was all so wrong and should watch what they say about any stident. But for the most part my kids loved the High School experience at Fairport High School. They have a great music department at the schools as well. Hope this helps. ... more

You need to talk to a local lender who is going to give you an idea of what you can afford based upon income, credit history, down payment. If another adult name will be on the deed, they too will have to go through the same scrutiny. The best think possible is to put yourself and your family in the best financial situation possible when purchasing a home. That may mean leaving the other person off the mortgage and getting something you can afford without the other person's income.

Never rely on someone else to pay our mortgage or other bills unless you are already married. Remember the saying one for all and all for one! You apply as two individuals but the bank counts it as one loan both of you will be responsible for.

Also always consult your financial adviser and attorney on such matters.

You can get a loan with or without him married or not. Why would you get a loan and not want to put his name on the debt with you? You might want to think about that.

Most of the Eastside Communities are "like" Fairport and some west side towns also. You might look into Pittsford, Brighton, Webster, and Penfield for starters. What specifically are you looking for?
