I would suggest you try the regular rental sites: (Rentals Section) (Rentals Section) (Rentals Section)

Between all of those, you will get a very clear picture if you can find what you are looking for. Good luck!

At this moment in time, in Fairfax Village itself, there is a total of 4 rentals, 4 condos for sale, 1 townhouse for sale, and one parking space for sale. 2-bedroom rentals range in price from $1200 to $1300, the 3-bedroom rental is $1850, the condos range in price from $54,500 to $124,620, and the townhouse is offered at $499,900.

Two of the three condos that is for sale is in the $90k to $300k price range that you cited - one at $120k, and one at $124,620. Both condos offer 1 bed and 1 bath.

Were you only interested in Fairfax Village itself, or also the area around FV?

Unfortunately, there is no way to guarantee any neighborhood as a "safe" community. Where ever there are people, there will be crime. Sure, there are some neighborhoods where statistically you are more likely to be a crime victim, but even those neighborhoods have their good sides.

The police department is a good place to start for digging up neighborhood crime statistics, but I would advise that you don't make the mistake of making your decision based only on those numbers.

The first thing to do when contemplating making a home purchase is to get in touch with a very good loan officer and obtain a mortgage pre-approval. What this does is tell you "how much home you can afford" to purchase and at what costs. Usually, the mortgage lender will issue a work sheet or a "Good Faith Estimate" showing you the complete "estimated" costs of making a purchase at a particular price. These estimated costs will include most of the items listed in your question.

Apart from the above, the most important thing I would suggest to you would be to hire a Realtor to assist you in your purchase. It's best to do this at the beginning rather than start the process on your own. Your Realtor will then be able to send the listing for your property off to your loan officer, who will then be in a position to provide you with more realistic numbers for a purchase.

If I can be of assistance to you, please do not hesitate to call on me.
