I think you may be referring to 215 Coachman Drive... according to County Records, this home was foreclosed on and went through the judicial foreclosure process. It was auctioned off by the Lane County Sheriff in September 2016. Because no one bid on the property at auction, ownership was assumed by the bank - Deutsche Bank National Trust Company. Oregon foreclosures laws entail a 6 month "redemption period" **after* the Sheriff's auction. The most likely scenario is that the property will be listed by a foreclosure specialist/agent in March or April, after the redemption period has expired. Approx $340k was owed on the property back in September. ... more

You might be able to find a home with these criteria in the River Road / Santa Clara neighborhoods (zipcode = 97404) or in West Eugene. (zipcode = 97402) If you want to live closer in, you will most likely either need to do your own updates, or up your budget. There are also a couple of neighborhoods in Springfield that may be worth checking out -- Hayden Bridge & Kelly Butte. Very nice areas, and they are close to Eugene. Often times the taxes and utilities are significantly lower than Eugene too. ... more

I think they ask because the property is affected by all these questions, for example, kids play but they sometimes make a mess with crayons and stuff like that, and they want to know your age because they check your name to make sure you have not been in trouble with the law or had an eviction stuff like that because a lot of tenants just get into a place then they don't pay rent and they cause damage too. They ask questions because they want to find the best match for their property. You don't have to answer any question. It is your choice. It is a free country so we do have freedom of speech which means also you can answer or not answer too...you could always ask them why they ask and let them know how this makes you feel because how would they know otherwise? I also notice they ask a lot more on work applications, like age, sex, if you had any disability even depression and stuff like that...if you did in the past too, so it is more like they want to know their risks to rent to you because owners of 1 property that is all they have sometimes for their income, so if someone destroys the property, a lot of times it costs them more to fix it then your rent, and also while they fixing it they lose rent, plus Contrators are not cheap. Yes you can use property management company but sometimes they are worse because some of them might keep your deposit but then all of them are different too, and maybe they have you fill out form and on form they ask you to fill in your stuff...then they run checks on you to see your background anyway, and they don't really ask you to your face, but I is in their form that you give your permission to check your background, so it is the same thing anyway. I would rather someone ask me to my face, so I can communicate with them eye to eye rather than check out my stuff on their computer. ... more
