Hi Seitared,
I own a home that I am in the process of renovating. If you would like to see pictures, let me know. It is located at the end of Spring Creek Drive in Eugene. The neighborhood is quiet and close to schools. The house has a large yard, 2 car garage, nice master bedroom, 2 smaller bedrooms, and a sunroom, that the previous tenants used as a 4th bedroom. The yard is fenced and I would be fine with pets sharing the space.

Yes, I agree you may want to visit before you pack up and move. You will certainly compete with the college students for rentals. Once you find one then you'll be fine, but it is competitive. Finding a large house for a rental... depends on what you consider large? :-) Most homes average 1500-2200 sf roughly. There are some large old homes here, but not as many as in Portland.
