A hidden gem is El Mirasol on Blanco rd just past Bitters. The food is delicious and the Margaritas are AMAZING!

Arturos on 281 and Bitters is very good.
Rosarios is good as well.

For really authentic, i would suggest Carnitas. Its a small place but has some dishes you cant find anywhere else.

Eddie's Taco House on Thousand Oaks, Don Pedro's on Military near Commercial and most of the Panchito's, if you want local Mexican food. All the one's mentioned have their fans, but some are not "classic local taste"

El Jarro is great! Also it is a local hangout and has been since 1976! The food is outstanding and on Friday and Saturday nights there is live music and dancing. A great place to eat and a fun place to be.
