I found a great event for Friday night in Santa Monica called the Loews Rockin' Halloween Beach Bash. Travelzoo had a deal for half the price!

"The hotel, which will be vacant that night in preparation to transform into the home of the upcoming American Film Market, will be hollowed out and ready to Rock ‘N’ Roll.

Executive Chef Keith Roberts delivers Halloween-inspired dishes from his signature farm-to-table menu, including Wharf Troll’s Favorite Fish Tacos, Undertaker’s Brick Furnace Pizza, Spicy Shark Bite Shredded Tuna Rolls and Warm Smashed Jack-o’-Lantern Pie as well as local beer, wine and a ghoulish signature cocktail.

Halloween spirit will be rewarded -- each guest who attends in costume will be automatically entered into a raffle. " he event will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m on Friday, Oct. 26.

Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel is located at 1700 Ocean Ave., Santa Monica, CA 90401."

There are usually many places to celebrate Halloween in Los Angeles.

I want to point out two: Hollywood Blvd. is always busy on Halloween - all clubs, bars and restaurants will be open and there is usually lots of dressed up in costumes people just walking the street from La Brea all the way to Gover.

Another HUGE event usually held in West Hollywood by the city of West Hollywood. They will close Santa Monica Blvd. from La Cienega to Doheny and there are usually lots of stages with performers and radio stations as well as many people dressed in costumes and all the bars, clubs and restaurants you can handle.

I'm sure there are more parties all over town on this Halloween!

Have Fun!!!

Interesting questions....if you're looking for a place where you will see just about every kind of costume than I would recommend West Hollywood. The atmosphere is energized, a lot of people and a lot of celebrating.

However, if you're looking for a more relaxed feel, Santa Monica, Huntington Beach, and some other coastal areas have fun activities and events.

If you're taking your chidren, I would recommend a child friendly venue/event that is hosted by local citie government/s and that are advertised as child friendly.

Happy Halloween!
