However one element on home style is usability of total square feet which can have a direct correlation on home sales price as well as the above ground square feet versus below grade.
For example take into account a split level at 1,000 square feet and a rambler at 1,000 square feet. If the split level has 150 square feet (15%) taken up due to a set of stairs, both homes due not share the same usable square feet. This can also be comparable to a rambler with a finished basement and its below grade square feet versus a two story with similar square feet with no finished basement.
