Hi: Thanks for asking this great question. Usually co-ops have a minimum down payment requirement, like 10% or 20%. It depends on the building. For home or condo purchases, it will depend on your loan. FHA loans can be used to purchase a home for as little as 3% down. Land loans (if you can find one) will require a much higher downpayment. Also investment property will require a higher downpayment (25%-33% at a minimum). Best is to speak also with a good mortgage consultant about your specific needs. Hi, This complex does not allow dogs. It ishard to search on most public sites for complexes that allow dogs, there usually isn't an option. Agents can perform a search through the MLS and input that specific criteria to make your search easier. keep in mind, most coops that do allow pets tend to have weight restrictions which are usually 25 pounds. That isn't to say none will allow large dogs but you find it common to have the weight restriction.

The buyerâ€™s agent or the buyer needs to do some due diligence that I agree. However, the listing agent is just as responsible in providing accurate information. The listing agent has a responsibility to locate the correct information prior to listing the property. It will show some carelessness if the listing said to verify everything.... more
If you go to Weichert.com, not only will you find out when and where open houses are for any particular day and town, but you can choose which ones you want to see and have them mapped out for you A great tool without having to go out of the website to map them. You can go the the website as late as Sunday morning, and plan your trip out then.
I don't think there is any particular day that most of the agents post their open houses to the websites.

I am a Broker who lives in Interlaken and I specialize in Interlaken and the communities surrounding the lake, Lake Innisfree a.k.a. Lake Isle.
We have 525 families in Interlaken. The parking on the street is free and unassigned as they are public streets. We have eight groups of garages available for rent and you can apply for one after closing for an additional monthly fee. The wait list varies from very short to months, depending on the group. You can usually get on a short wait list if you are willing to walk a bit. We also have outdoor reserved parking spaces for rent.
You didn't mention what time at night you drove by. Between 5:30 and 7:00 pm you may have to walk from a space. This is because when people come home and find a space near their door, they don't put the car in the garage. You will always know when a big storm is coming, tons of parking. Between 7:00 and 10:00 pm spaces open up. After 7:00 AM and ALL DAY parking is not a problem. I would be happy to give you suggestions on where you can park close to your apartment. When you close, ask about the various wait list times for a garage. You may be pleasantly surprised.... more
The inventory certainly is picking up in Westchester, it's not that many new houses though. There are plenty of older homes coming on the market as well as "short sales"
Still, there are a few new ones being built, our office has (5) being built on the Larchmon/New Rochelle border.... more
