year-round. We are ultimately looking to purchase but at this time we want a rental that we can move from without having to flip it & then again perhaps if we can sell the SH business/property we would retire completely to FL where we have another home.
We own a business in Southampton and a small complex in WHB that has 4 building on it.
My wife who ran the WHB "Galerie Hampton' store for 21 years, to be polite, is somewhat younger then me and she wishes to retire.
I have a rental with the deal signed that will create a Latin American complex with tons of cars & people so we no longer wish to live in the House (add.; 303 Sunset ave. which is 1st house on the residential street next to the commercial property. We have tried for many years with & without brokers to sell the complex & can not. It is not because I'm unreasonable...

Now you have the whole story.

Keep in mind that RealtyTrac's information may not always be accurate and oftentimes can be misleading--you could be looking at a lis pendens property--notice of default--some of those properties may not be for sale yet, and some may never be, if the default is satisfied by the owner. If you are interested in foreclosures, work with an agent, as most do end up being listed by a broker--he/she will have access to reliable information--also don't overlook traditional sales as some may turn out to be a much better bargain than some of the foreclosure properties. ... more

This property is not currently for sale. If you have identifying information such as an Address, Section, Lot, or Block number, you can go to the local county clerks office to find out more about this property. Additionally, RealtyTrac's information may not always be 100% accurate.

Let me add to the answer below, I ought to mention that if you are searching specifically on the South Fork, (as opposed to Suffolk County generally), you need to also check out http://www.hreo.com as many of the Hamptons brokers list there rather than participate in the MLS. ... more

The Hamptons have a great deal of seasonal rentals and sometimes the rentals get mis-categorized on Trulia as a sale. I see that you are just looking, but would encourage you to work with an agent that both lives and works in the market and has some meaningful expertise. ... more

Heleen-
This house has been on the market for over a year and was originally (according to my records), priced at $1,595,000. It looks like there is some motivation there!

Southampton Pines is a 5 year old subdivision of new homes in East Quogue. They were done nicely and some have sold for upwards of $2M. The rest of East Quogue is mostly rural and more casual, except for the bayfront and oceanfront homes. As with any area, it comes down to a matter of taste. You might want to come for a tour.

Sorry you have had to deal with out of the area agents "reaching" to get your business and answering your question with little to no knowledge of the area...it's all too common in this business.
