All the answers you received thus far are correct. However, my reading of your question goes beyond the
mere number of your credit score. The most important function of an agent, in my opinion ,is helping the client understand the complete home buying process and guiding them through the process......If your still looking for a lender to qualify you for a mortgage and to help you with the buying process give me a call at 914-356-6468 ( mobile ) I have just the right program. I don't know about that particular unit, but I do know the building from a relative living there. I know that the amenities are wonderful and the staff maintaining the building are the best. In addition, this was one of the few places that had power and generators, when the rest of Connecticut was "in the dark" during the hurricane. Very secure, friendly place to live. ... more

One of your best options is to work with a mortgage loan officer who can help you determine which items on your credit report will yield the biggest increases in scoring once they are addressed. Of course, not every loan officer is willing to work with you on a long term basis to get you "credit-ready". I can refer you to a couple of them who will, or if you already have a copy of your credit report, I would be happy to meet with you to review it and get you started in the right direction. Just give me a call at 860-688-1400 x 24. Good luck Katherine.. ... more

A good knowledgeable Realtor would not be afraid to make that offer and justify it with comparables to the seller. Be careful though....sometimes even if someone purchased for $94K, they may have refinanced for a lot more. I am a local independent Realtor and Broker. ... more
