East Grand Rapids is the best! Everything is within walking distance or a bike ride away–parks, lake, pools, schools, shops, hospital....the public safety and public library are the best! Our home is on the market here in EGR. We're moving closer to our work but know someday we'll move back. You just can't find a better, nicer place to live. Hope this helps! ... more

Hi Jason, not all sales show up on the local Realtor MLS or on Trulia but most will show on the local Realtor MLS first. Most of the reporting services like Trulia, and others, rely on information reported after the sold date by the local municipalities. This can take months. Some home are pending for 60 days before the sale is finalized. If you are working with a professional that has access to the local MLS data they can zero in on your price range and area giving you the most recent available information. The information will also have any concessions the seller made to the buyer for the bottom line purchase value. I have a link below that may help you will sold information. Just type in the address and everything around the addess will show up, if sold. Hope this helps you. ... more

East GR has not escaped the vagaries of the market. The refinance loans that I have done have done in the past 6 months have shown a 20-25% reduction in value. Many of these were refinances of my previous customers where I had the previous appraisal on hand to compare. Certainly can't tell you that yours would be the same but don't see why it wouldn't unless it had substantial improvements etc. I can refer a local agent familiar with the market to do a comparable search for you.
