I only had one go south last year and that was a short-sale. My buyers went on to purchase something else. I have had slower closings for the same reason Erica has. I do have a short sale that I wrote in July of last year getting ready to close in a week or so! I don't think there is anything as a 30 day close any longer, even with all cash. Escrow companies had to scale back with the downturn market so there are fewer employees working the transactions. ... more
