Probably because they were scams and the posts have been removed. Or, it's quite possible they were rented very quickly. It's a tough housing market in most parts of the country.

I understand your concern as many places that allow pets do not allow what they consider bully breads. Pits fall within that range although in most cases are among the sweetest of dogs. It's just how they are raised. If you are looking to rent, you'll have to search for apartments or homes that allow pets and ask. Durham County has a school assignment feature on their website. Larry knows Durham much better than I do but should you find a specific address within that area that you like, use this link to confirm that is the school you want.
