Foreclosure terminates the rights of previous owners. After foreclosure, the property belongs to those who have loaned money to purchase (e.g. bank owned - REO, HUD).

Hi Powerhark1,

Thank your dad for his service to our country from one Veteran to another. Since your dad is a Veteran and is living in the home depending on the combined household income and credit (most Lenders need a 620 FICO) you would be able to purchase the home with no money down.

I would be delighted to provide you with some mortgage options, (this does not require us pulling your credit) that will allow you to make the best decision for your family. I can be contacted via my profile information for a no obligation consultation. My Office hours are 08:00 AM-08:00 PM Mon-Fri and Fri and Sat 08:00 AM-06:00 PM CST.

Trulia does not permit by owner listings. If you want your home to appear here you will need to find a licensed agent to work with.

Don Tepper, Real Estate Pro in Burke, VA
Wed Oct 15, 2014
Don Tepper answered:
Same as the difference between a head of cabbage and a toothpick.

They're two entirely different concepts.

A condo is a legal structure. It describes what you own. In a condo, you own everything within the four walls of your unit. Anything outside is a common element, owned by the condo association.

A townhouse or town home is a physical structure. It describes a multi-story residence in which typically one family--though sometimes two--lives.

The two have nothing to do with each other. A townhouse could be a condo, or not. A condo can be a unit in a large building, a townhouse, or even a single-family home.

Hope that helps.

It appears Trulia gets its info from MLS feeds. FSBOs who list on an MLS will get their homes on Trulia. Those who do not list on an MLS do not have a reliable way to feed info to Trulia. Trulia's decision to get its info from MLSs is not a bad effort to provide reliable information to the marketplace. ... more
