Angelique, did you ever make your move back to Dubuque? Just wondering how that went and if you had a good experience if you did.

Just as a quick FYI Reandrea, 584 West 11th in Dubuque reduced to $169,950 today. Again, given that it's a bank-owned property it does pose a different kind of buying proposition compared to standard existing home sales, there may be a pretty good opportunity to get a good deal on a home that sold for roughly $200,000 more only 3 1/2 years ago. If you're interested please contact me...

Hi Ratandrea, As said below there are many legitimate reasons.
We've taken pictures of homes and decided not to post them, not because the house in poor condition but because in some of the cases the Owners furniture did not do the room justice, or there was too much furniture in the room for a good pic. In addition pictures can look alot better or worse than the actual property is worth.

All the Best

The first and foremost thing to do is determine the market value of your land and price it accordingly. The market price with a great location should result in a quick sale. ... more

Hi Deberry, the home at 695 Roberts was most recently sold at the sheriff's foreclosure auction for a whopping $122,140.00 on July 30th!!! At some point in the future, Fannie Mae will be putting it back on the open market, probably for about half that much. And some people wonder why the banks and federal government have been in financial trouble... ... more

You can go down to the county assesers office in the court house, and get a list from there. Once a home has gone into forclosure proceeding it becomes public record. You can also go to forclosure.com and search the Dubuque Area there, but your best option would be to go downtown to the court house, as foreclosure.com charges a fee for there services. ... more

Sara, occasionally one of the local banks will put on a first-time homebuyers seminar. If you're still interested in finding one let me know. I don't know of any scheduled right now, perhaps because we're heading into the fall season now.

I do have a short DVD you can borrow that gives you some basic information about the buying process and some of the best practice methods that will ensure you do things the right way and protect your best interests...Rob
