After 740 your credit score doesn't affect your interest rate, also, the lender isn't going to "average" you and your wife's credit scores; they take the lower of the two. In other words, if you have an 800 and she has a 760, the lender will go with the 760 as you, the borrower's, score. But since over 740 it doesn't affect your rate, you'll already be at the top tier in regards to best interest rate terms. ... more

That is a crazy assesment $4000... Yes it can affect your Credit if they attach a judgment lien to your property. Usually HOA's are a little lenient when it comes to these things so long as you are making some kind of payment to them. I would call them and set up a payment plan and stick to it... If you miss a month or two they can go after you. ... more
