Both are nice areas with much to do. SW Florida overall has quite a bit of resources for people with disabilities. From parks, rec centers, groups that meet, etc. Of the 2 areas, Cape Coral is larger and a little newer, so it has more to offer than Port Charlotte. But both are nice areas, low crime, clean, progressive thinking, great weather, plenty of things to do especially around water. You have LARK, Special Equestrians, UCP of SWFL, and Grace Church who has a great adult special needs program.
Good luck, I hope you like it here. If you need any help, have any questions, or need to see homes, just let me know. I am a native of Cape Coral with 17 years of real estate experience all here in SWFL.
