Selling a houseful of luxury furniture in new condition. Read that people enjoy buying pieces from one location. Ideas on how to spread the word?

Asked by Jewelinthedesert, North Scottsdale, Scottsdale, AZ Mon Jun 6, 2011

I read a post in this forum and see that people like to buy their furniture from one location instead of trekking all over the valley. Looking for ideas on how to spread the word that we have a long list of luxury pieces for sale in new condition all under one roof and hoping you can help. Thank you!

http://www.angelsintheatticestatesales.com and http://www.thefamilyestatesales.com both are great options for selling an entire house full of stuff :) they also will add to email list and send out announcements of upcoming sales to their previous customers .............

I have clients coming in to town this week looking to fill a 3200 sq, foot luxury home in north Phoenix (I-17 and Carefree).

Post some way that they can find you and I will share the information with them.

Have you checked out using professional Estate Auctioneers and sales professionals?

You can also post on facebook if you have an account.

I would be interested in what you may have! I have clients looking for furniture too!

I usually have good luck with craigslist. Another alternative that also works well is to post on community websites. For example, some of the bigger churches have a classified section on their website. I had luck listing on http://www.ccvonline.com.

Good luck!

Craig's list is great IF you have time - sometimes it takes weeks to find the right buyer. Delete the post and repost twice weekly. I just sold a highend piece and had an estate company look at it along with other better/highend pieces. I was told I would get $XX for the pice in their highend shop ater the split. I got more money on craig's list but it took a few weeks. Good luck!

I think you just spread did. You could post a link to a virtual tour and/or photos and prices.
Just a thought.

Some of the other suggestions (ie: craigslist) are great but for luxury pieces you might want to check out estate sale companies. They seem to be able to get great traffic and will bring a higher sales price than craigslist where everyone is looking to pay pennies on the dollar for high end furniture

Sally is right Craigslist is one of the best places to advertise the furniture.
Other spots might be;\
backpage.com
Ebay classifieds
Walmart Classifieds.

They are all free.

Craigslist is a great way to advertise almost everything, and it's FREE!
