I just moved to Dover, NJ about a month ago. For the month of August I tried the NJ Transit line, which is anywhere between about 80 mins ONE WAY. From there, depending on where you work from Penn Station it could take you another 20 mins to get to your job, therefore my commute, door to door, is 2 hours one way. On the way home it has been pretty difficult, most of the time the trains are delayed or on stand by. I try to catch the 620 train which gets me to Dover at approx 7:45 (with no delays). The good thing is you get to read, watch movies, or even nap.

This month I'm trying the driving option. The drive is about half an hour to the Path Station (in Harrison). I left at 6:30 from Dover and reached work at about 8AM. I'm just worried about the drive home and all the traffic on 280W/80W. Don't let Realtors paint false pictures. It is a long commute, some people can't stand it and some can. That's up to you. I personally do not mind it.
