A lot of new business has been laughed in the city for the past few years. As experts say, Denver has a business friendly environment. Thus, many companies are relocation to the city. FYI -- Trulia isn't a real estate company, nor a property management company. There is no "list" to receive updated listings. I would try contacting a local property management company, or just keep searching for rentals here, or other rental websites. But beware of the many scams out there. Never EVER send money out of state or out of the country. Always make sure you're dealing with the property owner, or property management company. Ask for proof. ... more

Hi James:

There are a lot of great places to live in and near Denver. With more information, I probably could make better recommendations. However, two areas com to mind. Sloan's Lake is an area that has intrigued me lately. Mostly smaller homes here, often in need of some updating which is common in this area. It has a small neighborhood feel, but is very close to Downtown Denver. And having the lake there is a really attractive feature.

The other possibility is Boulder, which is a little bit of a drive north, but not bad. It is certainly more compact than Denver. But, it is a very sophisticated community with the University of Colorado, some of the finest restaurants in Colorado and Federal laboratories (National Center for Atmospheric Research, National Institute of Standards and Technology, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). There is an incredible open space system and the mountains are practically in your backyard.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sounds like a legal matter to me. You may want to hire an attorney. Or...just work it out with the landlord. Or...since it's such a low $ amount, you could threaten to take him/her to small claims court. But that might be more hassle than it's worth. ... more

Chris,

Unfortunately most neighborhoods which attract "young professionals" will most likely be a 3-40 minute drive during work time commute. So it sounds like you need to decide what's most important to you and your needs. The good news is that Denver has plenty of areas for YP's. Lodo, LoHi, Uptown, Wash Park, Congress Park, Highlands, Berkelely, Sunnyside, and much more. Sounds like you need some help. Contact me anytime. And if you've already moved here. Try a website called Meetup in order to meet people and make new friends. Best of luck to you! ... more

Hi Tim:

There are a lot of scams involving rental properties these days. The best advice is to be very careful and very skeptical of anything that sounds too good to be true. It also pays show some care about looking at advertised rentals when you do not know the person showing. Generally it is a best to ask someone to come with you to the showing. And never send money via a service like MoneyGram, which lets recipients pick up money at multiple locations. One scam that has been going on for years involves posting a rental listing for an improbably low price. Often the photos, descriptions and addresses come from legitimate for sale listings. The poster claims to be in another part of the country and asks potential victims to sign an e-mailed lease that requires personal information, such as social security number, birth date, driver's license number, even credit card info. You can guess what happens next! Often the scammers also ask for the first-month's rent and deposit. That's where MoneyGram or something like it comes into play.

So be very careful when responding to rental ads!

Best,

Hi jcjonesins:

You will have to go to your profile page. At the top in the green bar is a little white house and the label "My Listings." When you mouse-over this you will get a menu with two items, "Manage Listings" and "Submit Listings." You should be able to take it from there. If you have not set up a profile, you may have to do this first.

Best,
