Nice house! You should talk to your listing agent about this. Agents can pay to be a "Premier" agent on these sites, and the listing will be "featured".

But frankly, if your home is priced well, looks great in photos and shows well, you shouldn't have a problem selling it. As long as it's in the MLS you should be fine. Good luck! ... more

I would be happy to help you. What areas outside of the Denver metro area, are you interested in? (i.e. are you wanting to be within a 30-45 minute drive into downtown Denver? Do you want to be in the mountains or foothills? Do you already have land, or would you need help finding the lot too? If you need to find the lot, how big are you talking, and what's your budget for that? Feel free to contact me directly: sallygrenier@msn.com or 303-475-4508. ... more

What type of investment property? (single family home, or multi unit like duplex, triplex, quad, etc.)? Also what do you mean by "affordable"? Feel free to contact me directly with more info, and I'd be happy to help.

I don't know, but I share your frustration. A change was recently made to Trulia that has severely limited the search options.

Hi and congratulations on making the move! Multi-generational living is a win for everyone so long as reasonable expectations are planned for.

Accessibility is probably a huge consideration - if not right now, then eventually. I would think you'd want a full set of living amenities on the main floor - kitchen, living space, at least one bedroom, and a full bathroom. Other family members can have bedrooms and baths upstairs or in the basement, but you should be prepared for reduced mobility. Think about outside amenities as well - how easy is it to get to the front door, out of the car, into the back yard, etc?

Privacy will be another concern. "Mother in law" apartments typically don't have a separate dedicated entry from the outside, but often have their own living space and at least a kitchenette. Multiple living/family rooms will allow people to pursue different interests without intruding on each other. Or a property with a carriage house may be ideal.

Transportation - easy access to public transportation might be a consideration.

Neighborhood amenities can be important. Many neighborhoods in Denver have great rec centers (many with pools) and parks. Are there community centers or other places that have classes, discussion groups, or luncheons for seniors?

We've helped many clients navigate changing living requirements and we're very familiar with denver's great neighborhoods. Please feel free to give us a shout if we can help. :-)
