I suspect this is a rental scam. This home is for rent for $3,300 per month. The info provided was ripped off the actual rental listing, & the name of the person claiming to rent it does not match the rental agent in the mls. Also there is no unit # attached to this house. I can't say for sure that its a rental scam, but proceed with extreme caution. Usually if these rental adds seem to go to be true it's because they are, but clearly someone is falling for it or these scam artists wouldn't keep doing it.

Hi Brian,

A good rule of thumb is, if you would buy a home in a certain neighborhood for you and your family, if you have one, other people will want to rent it. Not all families have the means to buy a home in a neighborhood they want, so they rent. Strive for the best property in that market's price range.

Be mindful of price however. You want to be sure you'll get your PITI paid by the rent. I can help you with likely monthly cash flow scenarios for each property you're looking at, to see if it pencils.

Hi Angel,

This definitely looks like a scam. In the future, if you ever need to verify an owner's name, let me know and I'll look it up for you. You'll often get an email saying they're out of the state or country, and will send you the keys when you wire them money. The grammar is often bad, but not always. Never mail or wire money to anyone without having been shown the inside of the property.

Good luck in your search!
