Jim,
I have been an agent for 13 years and have lived in Davidsonville for the past 20 years, Davidsonville, for the most part offers larger lots with their homes, is quite rural in nature( several farms), and less congested in terms of the communities and has higher property sales/ resale values... Crofton on the other hand has smaller lot sizes for the most part, is not rural to the degree that Davidsonville is and generally when I have researched Crofton listings in the past, have had lower sale/ resale values compared to Davidsonville.. Years back, the Capital Newspaper posted an article on the front page showing that Davidsonville had the highest property values outside of waterfront in Anne Arundel County. You might try going to the archives at the Capital Newspaper(Annapolis local paper) and see if you can research that article . The Capital number is 410-268-5000.
I hope this information is helpful. I can be reached at claudia.edgar@penfedrealty.com or by mobile at 410-533-1178 if I can be of further assistance.
