Now is the perfect time to get your search started. I closed a rental with a 6/15 start yesterday (5/1). Darien's rental market moves quickly especially going into the summer months when people want to get settled before school year starts.

The month of May should bring many new rentals in the area. My only advice is to be ready to act if you find the right property.

I hope this is helpful. Let me know if I can help you further.

Darien is a wonderful town with many quiet streets and cul de sacs like Ridgeview and Jackson Place. These streets are off of Camp Avenue, which is on the Stamford side of Darien. These streets are zoned for smaller properties, so the prices are lower than some others in Darien. Some comparable streets are off of West, Hoyt and Noroton. Some of the similar streets would be Oak Park, Hilton, Miller, Park Place, Robinson and Brown streets. There are also many more sililar neighborhoods that are here in Darien, with homes that have recently come on the market.

I am very familiar with the market and the neighborhoods since I live in Darien as well as work here. Do not hesitate to contact me if you woulld like me to help you find a home.

Best regards

Hello Benefactor,
The home at 69 Sedgwick sold in December 2010 for $1,290,000 and previously sold in December 2009 for $409,000 to Traditional Building LLC. It was torn down in 2010 and rebuilt as a colonial style home with Greek revival architecture.
You can check the tax assessor's office in Darien to find out the current owner.

Hope that helps.

Hi Mick,

The best place for information regarding Metro North is their website. You can access this link through the MTA website. Just click on each station on the red line (New Haven) for more information regarding schedules and parking (includes a parking station map).
