Carla,
Not always, or even often. Some utilities are under some cases, others aren't. Things like electricity or gas can vary greatly from one resident to another, so I wouldn't count on them being included with rent, but you need to ask what's included with each rental you come across. ... more

Eileen V answered:
Um that would be because some landlords have a mortgage on the property and if you default, then essentially we are financially supporting you, and maybe we'd rather eat and make our own car payments? Also take 'serial renters' into account, folks that make defaulting on rent and squatting 'till they get kicked out a lifestyle choice....while they destroy MY credit, and trash my place...no thanks. ... more

Annette Lawrence answered:
The consumer does have a choice.
They can pick up the phone and call a real estate professional.
For some reason, they CHOOSE to swim with the sharks.
My advise to those who like adventure swims is, "If you can not lead the police to the door of the one taking your money...KEEP YOUR MONEY IN YOUR POCKET!"

Meanwhile, remember, you do have choices. Predators are counting on you to make bad ones.

Jay Cooke answered:
Hi Tara,

As you may have guessed by now, it's really hard. Most owners who rent via the MLS have limits or pet restrictions. You might do better by looking in the paper for a situation where the owner is renting directly. You might find an animal-lover. What about posting a notice at your local animal shelter? It couldn't hurt.

Nick Gandhi answered:
An executive rental has the following characteristics:

1) Allows for short term stay (could be as little as a week. I've seen some that can do it by day!)
2) Is fully furnished (including the kitchen, bathrooms, linens, etc). The tenant would simply need to bring their clothes.
3) Usually includes useful utilities like cable TV, Internet, wifi, etc
4) Usually includes a cleaning service at a certain interval (say once a week, etc)

Hope this helps

Dee Ceylan, Agent, Danbury, CT Hi Erica,

It looks like you have an attractive property in Aunt Hack- King St area..That's one of the prime locations in Danbury regarding the commute and overall other criteria ( schools and neighborhood).. I won't seee you having hard time renting it with both scenarios. I will be happy to present you a market analysis with the recent rental and market activity in your area.. Timing is very important to rent your home. So, sooner to better to talk to a realtor and position your home in way that you won't lose any prime marketing time and oppotunity to rent it..

You can always email me or callme at deeceylan@prudentialct.com / 203 512 3520.. I will be happy to further assist you and answer your questions..

Warmest Regards
Dee Ceylan
