It is your decision and you would need to consider your personal situation. If you put 10% down you will save quite a bit of money; however, saving is also important in case you need to tap into the money for other reasons than purchasing a home. How long are you planning to stay in the home? Do you think you may need to use your savings?

I hope this helps. I'd be happy to assist you in your home purchase. Part of my job is to guide you through the home buying process and discuss your options.

Hello,

I suggest you find a local apartment locator for the area you are searching for. Most of them are free of charge and will quickly generate a listing for you.

The demand for rental is extremely high in DFW and makes difficult to use the section 8.

Hope this info helps.

The demand for rental properties is so high that most owners or management companies will not accommodate 6 months lease terms.

One easy suggestion will be to rent a larger apartment. It may not be like a house, but you may get the 6 month lease term.

Hope that helps

It is becoming harder and harder to find a home or apartment for rent with a voucher. The demand is so high for the moment. NPR had a dedicated talk show about how difficult it has become to use the voucher.

The easiest advice will be to search for some local locators or real estate agents for the area you're searching for.

I hope this help a bit.

Thankk you
