Best place I can think of is Old Downtown Coppell.
Small community...maybe 400 homes.
Walk to the Saturday farmers market.
Walk to the park.
Walk to 3-4 community style restaurants.

I'd be happy to send you a list of homes for sale if you are still looking.

Crime is the best thing to do is check with the police department or perhaps online crime stats. Safe is a relative word, so safe to you may not be the same as to someone else.

There's lots of great companies and you should look at several to see who is the best fit for you.
Some things I can suggest for a new agent before you decide.
#1. Ask to see the broker's training room. Every broker will tell you they have training, but if they don't have a place to do it, how helpful is that going to be?
#2. Ask to see their training calendar. Is it full, empty, are there classes appropriate to your level. How much does the training cost?
#3. Ask if you can sit in on a class or sales meeting. Ask other new agents how things are working for them.
#4. Ask if you will have a sponsor or mentor.

We'd love to talk with you this week if you have time.
Also check out my website for plenty of questions to ask brokers/recruiters when you interview.

One thing I love about Keller Williams is that we are growing like crazy, profitable, debt free, and an open book company. There is a feeling of family and sharing....and better yet PROFIT SHARING.

Feel free to contact me any time and we'll help you get started.

Hey Brous85, if you're looking for an apartment complex that does 6 month terms, I would recommend checking out Oak Park apartments at 5318 S Hampton Rd. That should put you pretty close to work, your cost would be between $670-$900/month, and they have quite good reviews. If you're wanting something a little more upscale, and trendy, you could try looking in Uptown or even downtown Dallas. Wouldn't recommend trying to make a commute from Ft. Worth if you're trying to keep it under 30 minutes. If you would like any further help locating an apartment, let me know! Always glad to help! ... more

Kay Flynn answered:
No, I moved into a neighborhood last year and a violation for have a vinyl fence was placed on the resale certificate. This is a beautiful board on board vinyl (4 times the cost of wood) The neighbors didn't even realize that it was vinyl. The original owner had put it in almost 14 years prior to my buying the home. The Board now wants me to remove it and have threatened me with a fine....there are NO provisions for a fine in the covenants. Also, they cannot enforce this violation as there is a four year statute of limitations. Why did they wait fourteen years? They are making my life very unhappy, do not speak to me and refuse to remove the violation for when I sell. ... more

The line skews in a few places of what is actually considered Preston Hollow, however, Wikipedia which I've attached to this answer has a great map that shows the actual boundaries of the original Preston Hollow. I work Preston Hollow quite frequently, and I'm always happy to define a search for you.

If you found the right house, what city did you end up in?

Robin Rogers answered:
Hi, John,

I don't handle apartment rentals, but I work with another broker who does. She recommended contacting the leasing manager with the details to show you were the agent who procured the tenants, and following up with an invoice.

When I pay a leasing commission to an agent for renting one of my listings, I wait until I have collected the security deposit, the tenants have executed the lease, and the first month's rent has been paid. That process can take up to 30 days from when the agent showed the applicants the property.

Hope this helps!

Little Forest Hills is kind of a special area.
You might get the same feel in some parts of Oak Cliff.
Also Hollywood Heights.
Maybe older parts of the smaller cities around Dallas.

The older parts of Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Richardson, Irving, Plano.
