I actually live at Seasons and can't say enough good things about it. It's a gem in downtown! I've heard Hanna is nice too, but downtown apartments move FAST so don't wait too long in making a move. As for safety, downtown proper is actually pretty safe - the Hanna area especially (it's right in the theatre district, which is always lit up and active) and the area around Seasons isn't bad, either. Well-lit and a lot of people around, generally all times of day and night (Perk Park is super active, even well into the night, with families, etc.) Heading further east on Chester, it gets a bit more questionable... Just use common sense. You can get around without a car (plus parking costs a fortune), public transportation is pretty legit with the Health Line that runs along Euclid, other RTA buses and the trolleys that pick up right outside. Best of luck and welcome to the neighborhood! ... more

I think you should invest in a home in Cleveland Heights or Shaker Heights. Only the areas along the Cleveland border have crime, but there are lots of police around this area, much more than in a neighborhood in downtown Cleveland. The Southern part of Cleveland Heights is very nice, and there are many places to eat around Coventry Rd, and Lee Rd. Shaker Heights is very safe, and has a very good police force, as well as Cleveland Heights. The schools are very diverse and are very good. Shaker Heights is more residential, and some parts are much newer, especially towards Beachwood. Overall, both suburbs are a good to live in, and are very close to places to eat, and shop. There are many places nearby like Beachwood Place Mall, and Legacy Village, at Richmond and Cedar Road. There are is also shopping centers at Cedar and Warrensville Center, where there are chain food places, Macy's, Target, Whole Foods, and other shops. There is also a close proximity to downtown, and the Shaker Lakes parks. ... more

That is a really cool memory. I don't think that it is there anymore. I think it was replaced with a sidewalk or something.

If the home is a very large home with many existing baths, not as much as upgrading on a smaller home with less bathrooms. A full bath on the first floor will allow for a larger buyer pool, as well.(example is someone who has difficulty using stairs. This scenario is also nice for visiting guests if there is a room off the bath to use as a guest room (i.e. office or extra room with pull-out sofa). ... more
