I'm with local law enforcement in the area and like most communities we have a variety of crime to include drugs, DUI, theft, and violent crime. I will say that our law enforcement agencies both county and city are very proactive, well trained, and responsive. We even have a Facebook page for county crime announcements. My family is here, my home. It's a safe, well panned, conscientious community and the fastest growing county in the state. It is truly a great place to live. ... more

I have lived in Cumming since 1993 and have loved it. My youngest daughter graduated from South Forsyth High school and my two grandchildern graduated from Central High. I have a grandaughter and grandson that are still in school one in middle school and one in high school. I have sold real estate in Cumming and all five surrounding counties. We relocated here in 93 from Philadelphia Pa. when my husband retired from the US Navy. I can honestly say I have seen alot of growth and at one time, we were the third largest growing county in the nation because it was such a desirable place to live . We have our share of grime every city does, but its nothing compared to other cities. It's still a quaint town square with alot of southern hospitality. We have beautiful new schools and great teachers. In my opinion its a great place to call home. I would suggest you contact the Forsyth County Shierf Dept. and get accurate information on the crime in this area. There number
