what are the colors on the map? green, orange etc.. how do you determine the colors? thank you

On every map there is usually a legend which explains the map colors, symbols, etc. If you can send me more information, I would be happy to explain it to you.

If you are referring to the Thomas Guide maps the colors define city boundries. Los Angles is white, LA County is yellow, Santa Monica pink, Culver City orange, etc. If you are looking at a zoning map the colors define the specific areas for Single Family R1, Multi Family R2 & R3, Commercial C1, etc.
