Welcome to Midtown Sacramento, Chris!

To find out about crime activity in any given neighborhood, you can map incidents on the Sacramento Police Department's website at

Keep in mind that Midtown is much more densely populated than surrounding areas and, thus, has a larger number of incidents given the geographic area. As a Midtown resident, I can honestly say I feel extremely safe here and consider it to be one of the most livable neighborhoods around. People are out and about all the time, which means there are always "eyes on the street"...

I hope you've been getting great information in preparation for your possible move to Sacramento!

I would listen to Rob McQuade...he knows this neighborhood inside out and backwards. It is the up and coming neighborhood in Sacramento. The energy in midtown ( a few blocks away) is amazing. Your better areas are more north and west in this span of residential neighborhoods. Just tour the homes in Poverty Ridge...they are awesome!
