BEST ANSWER
The BEST way to understand a neighbourhood is:
1) Drive by in the daytime..about 10:00 am, and see who is outside during Monday through Friday
2) Drive by at night...look for the same, but go on a weekend.
3) If you are okay with #1 and #2, then walk the neighbourhood, talk to the folks living there.

Beyond all the statistics you find, these three pointers will lead you in the right direction.

Safety... Gangs... Illegals...

You are obviously able to acces the internet so start Googling "Gurdon". I know I'm going to because I have NO IDEA where Gurdon is??!! However, many Realtors have access to programs which can give you demographics on a specific area. However, the internet is the great equalizer. Take some responsibility for your actions and start doing research on your own. I'm going to google Gurdon!
