I live in manchester and have found it one of the safest places to live. I read the local paper and haven't read about any crime. It has lots of older folk and very tight communities. In most of the villages they have a watch program that rides around and reports any one suspicious. The police would be the best source.

Realtors generally stay away from directly providing crime stats to remain compliant with laws that govern steering and fair housing. Answers could be taken out of context and viewed as steering even when that was not the intent. Yes, customers frequently ask this question.

You can check the local police dept for information. Here is a website about the neighborhood watch program in Manchester.

You can also acquire some demographic info about the town here:

I have represented both buyers and sellers in Manchester, including properties in adult communities and properties that were not located within an active adult community. As an agent, I had reason to interact with the township office in resolving issues for clients and found them helpful. You might try to contact them also.

If I can be of more help, please feel free to contact me.
