Florida is a land of extremes where we will have Mansions across the street from Shacks. Your best bet is to talk with the neighbors/HOA. They can tell you exactly what is going on.

Here is a good source for you to use. You can put in a local address and view any criminal activity in the area. You can also vist the police dept in Tarpon and talk with some of the officers in the area. If you have any questions I am very familiar with the area feel free to contact me.

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.
