Sheri is definitely right on the money. In addition to that I would say if you end up finding a property you like, drive by in the early evening just to get a feel for what the neighborhood is like at night. Don't hang around obviously- but be there just long enough to see if it is reasonably quiet and settled. You don't want to be part of any stats yourself by being a loiter!

Hi Gregg :)

Realtors are prohibited from discussing crime statistics per Federal Fair Housing Laws. We can however provide you with information for you to do your own research. It is also best to get the information straight from the source and you can find the information you are looking for by going on the Raleigh Police's crime mapping website http://www.raleighnc.gov/home/content/Departments/Articles/P… … In addition you can call and speak with someone at the police department and their phone numbers are listed on the website link I provided above. You can also go on Trulia's area crime info, but it is not as up-to-date as the Police Department's.

You can also check out http://www.crimereports.com. I have found it really helps clients get a feel for the neighborhood activity.

Hi Greg,

Please give more information as to what you are looking for in a home, price, size location etc. That way it'll be easier for any of us to help in your home search.

Not sure what you are trying to ask, but can tell you that according to MLS, 5800 Iris Lake Ct closed on December 14, 2012. The property that your link takes us to is for a completely different home located on Sheffied Rd.. If you would like to clear this up, feel free to contact me personally and I can get answers for your questions.
